Hey you, welcome to our blog! With "Tales from the Road" we want to keep you posted on all the (big) things that happen to us on our road trips to success. So many new places and people that we meet while driving from open mic to open mic. With every open mic or venue we visit there are new stories to be told and we don't want you to miss out. Not on the tears, not on the laughs. Mostly laughs tho, lots of "interesting" performances.
Just last week we hit a record, 4 gigs in one week, yeah! One of these gigs was a sort of battle of the bands. We were selected to compete, but it turned out that we would compete against 5 "full" bands. Damn what a rush that was. We did not win, but just being selected was an honor.
Two of the open mics last week were in Utrecht and for the open mic on Saturday we even travelled 200 km for performing 3 songs, could be considered overkill, but I guess you can label us podium junkies. Somehow there was a curse on the stage-pianos and their sustain peddles, but we can look back on a successful week!
So currently we're in the studio working on the tracks "Toy Doll" and "When You Know". After these 2 there are only 2 more left to record and then we can go and set up a Spotify account. Very exciting. So the idea is to host a "demo release party" on the 6th of May, but we're still looking for a nice venue. We'll have a support act so it will be our first full gig. Very much looking forward to that. In the meantime there are a few open mics we're going to visit, we'll keep you posted on the "gigs" page of the website!
